Jonny bravo part II

Finally on his last day here and on our last day of our holidays, Jonny had the chance to chase those big breamies hiding under Canning bridge.

Reaching there at 4pm the tide looked like it was going out and wind was really strong so I really thought it was gonna be a wasted trip. But well, down the lines went anyway and I just left the two of them to fish while I went to arrange my tackle when Jonny was on! Like holy crap it wasn't even 5 minutes!

Could see that it was helluva good fight with the fish kept making runs and Jonny was just pumping it man when the drag was set to the tightest! Deeeym Jonny you're lucky the line didn't snap.

But anyways, he landed this beautiful tarwhine at 33cm which was bigger than what I ever caught! (My largest was 32cm). Anyways, good fish and I just had it for dinner pan fried with sweet n sour sauce mmmm!

After pictures and everything done Jess was on! I mean, turning around to see a rod going down everytime someone shouts your name is too good to be true but... well, it was!

Man, this fish was big from the looks of it! Made at least 5 - 6 long runs and we couldn't even stop it. We landed it in the end and it measured at 39cm! How's that for your first bream jess chop?!

Pictures and everything done again was just about to wash my hands when Jonny was on again!!! Wth! you guys gotta give me a break!

I could go on and on about the same thing but in the end we landed 7 fishes in 2 hours (Jess landing a 39cm and 33cm black bream and losing another big one, Jonny landing a 33cm, 32cm, 28cm and 24cm tarwhine, and me landing a 25cm tarwhine and losing three fishes. Man these guys are outfishing me man).

Here's Jonny with the two biggies and the fishes we took home.

It was a really good day catching so many fishes but even better, it's just the three of us down here having fun again :)

My good bro Jonny down in Perth

After drooling at the pictures of the crabs I caught for a few weeks, Jonny is finally here to get em!

n fiiiiiiinally, the three of us can hang out again.

When we reached Woodman point (after like freaking 45 minutes drive with a car full of near-bursting bladders), the freaking jetty was full of crab nets, we couldn't even get a decent spot (we reached at 6pm btw).

So in our nets went and we waited........ and waited.......... and waited........... and pulled up empty nets....... after empty nets....... after empty nets........

OMG is this trip going to turn into a disaster?! Afterall, the people beside us already had 18!

So the clock ticked.. and it was already 9pm... and we still had nothing.. until Jonny saw two crabs having sex mating, and threw the net down and caught them hoorah!!! (Plus, that was the biggest crab we caught that night)

So after we couldn't take it anymore and Jess asked those guys (we know each other from previous crabbing sessions) to spare us some fish heads and fish frames for bait (we were using chicken wings and mutton but last time I caught 22 using those what?!)

As soon as the bait went down the crabs came up! And after they left they gave us all their bait how cool is that?! In the end we caught 14 crabs (pretty sure someone stole 2 of them, I counted 16), with one pull bringing up 3 crabs! and another bringing up an octopus... but we released it cause of Jess!!!! Grrrr.....

On the other end of the jetty, Jonny was busy fishing and making friends. In the end he caught a few yellowtails, a sardine and a baby barracuda.

We took quite a bit of pictures but it was on Jess's cam so we've gotta develop them first.

Here's Jonny's big crab

Our total catch

Nothing better than fresh crabs on a barbeque.

The three of us again finally..

Jessica and family down in Perth: Perth Zoo

Just a day before Jeremy had to leave for Brunei we dropped by the Perth zoo to buy some lion pups they had for sale due to a charity event.

Just kidding la..

Quickshot before going in!

Jeremy has that sexy look in his eyes..

like..

Anyways, Perth zoo is pretty small... with alot of exhibits NOT HAVING ANIMALS grrr...

Pretty much the same kind of animals as the Singapore zoo but smaller, lesser and not that huge a variety, plus no fun rides on animals, animal shows or stuff like that.

Not much animal photos cause nothing special..

Something different will be like this cassowary

Looks like dinosaur right?! You should see the claw on it's feet man.. It has this massive claw on the inside toe.. the better to dig it's PI SAI with..

A tree kangaroo

The only type of kangaroo that walk with alternating steps.

Entering the reptile enclosure..

Halftime shots!

Lioness..

Check out that croc man! It's freaking huge!

More importantly, check out the size of that sea bass man!!!

Aaaaaand that's about all the photos we took at the zoo.

Jessica and family down in Perth: Adventure world

Okay we don't really fit into Adventure world because it's more suited for kids a.k.a people under 18 a.k.a not us... except for Jeremy.

So we had to psych ourselves up the whole time.

Or.. like that.

Orrrrr.. like that..

Okay la... they have 2 to 3 not bad rides and the water rides were not too bad either so we just entertained ourselves with those.

Oh Jeremy... better stop your mee goreng soon.

Feeling the fear before the big ride..

Shagged out after all the fun... but CS at night!

Jessica and family down in Perth: Crabbing & BBQ

Damn the summer holidays are coming to an end. Luckily it ended with a bang when Jess and family came down to stay for 2 weeks!

Day 1: Crabbing time!

we ain't crazy; it's summer but the wind was blowin'!

Hoping to continue our streak of crabs.......... didn't happened... despite Jeremy's best efforts in hauling up the crab nets with every bit of his strength.. Go go mee!

If you haven't spotted Jeremy, he is wearing my red jacket.... I KNOW RIGHT!?!?!

And then Jess... showing off the Animal Planet side of her.

Plus she made her first new best friend in Perth.

It's a pufferfish.. I did try to talk her out of it.. Moving on..

Jess and sa gu and auntie In ju

So the day ended with only 10 crabs caught but we had it chilli crab style baby! (cooked by Jess's dad of course)

No pictures of it though; it came and gone too fast.

Day (forgot): BBQ

Cold summer nights and BBQ goes together like a fat kid with candy.. or Jeremy with maggie mee.

Everything was gooooood especially the lamb sa gu marinated.

Our homemade BBQ pit me and my dad made.

Wondering where's Jeremy all this time?

Busy enjoying all the food at his "spot".
